It was with pride that today I received, alongside my colleagues from the IT teams at the National Security Cabinet of Portugal and the National Cybersecurity Centre of Portugal, a collective Commendation, from the General Director, the Rear Admiral António José Gameiro Marques, recognizing our dedication and team work, with helped us to keep the IT infrastrucute fully online and operational, during the recent full blackout in Portugal and Spain.

I started working at the National Cybersecurity Centre of Portugal!
I’m happy to report I started working at the National Cybersecurity Centre of Portugal (Centro Nacional de Cibersegurança), part of the National Security Cabinet of Portugal (Gabinete Nacional de Segurança), in Lisbon, Portugal!
This has been one my my goals for several years, and it is something I finally achieved!
I just completed the course: Modern Project Management
I’m happy to report I just completed the 5-day course Modern Project Management, from António Soares Miguel, PhD, PMP, at Galileu / Rumos, in Lisbon.
In this training, exclusive to employees of the National Security Cabinet of Portugal and National Cybersecurity Centre of Portugal, we learned the theory of project management and we also practiced using Microsoft Project.
A big thank you to our teacher, António Miguel, and also to the National Security Cabinet of Portugal, for sponsoring and offering us this course.
C-Days 2025 – Cybersecurity Conference has started!
Today is the start of C-Days 2025 conference!
While this is not my first C-Days, it is my first one, as a working member of the National Cybersecurity Centre of Portugal!
I’m incrediblly thankful for everyone and everything that allowed me to reach this long-time goal!
I just completed the course: Vulnerability Auditing
I’m happy to report I just completed the Vulnerability Audit course, from University of Coimbra and the National Cybersecurity Centre of Portugal, as part of the C-Academy training.
A two-week, 70 Hours, intensive couse, focused on detecting and mitigating vulnerabilities, and also compliance and regulatory frameworks, like ISO 27001.
Microsoft Security Summit Portugal
Just attended the Microsoft Security Summit Portugal, online.
A very interesting event, touching on a several subjects:
- AI for Cybersecurity Defense
- Zero-Trust
- Regulation, compliance and sovereignty
